Dr. Jeffery McConnel, I must say I was afraid of spinal surgery at my age 78. Dr. McConnell was the second doctor I consulted before my surgery. The first dr. scared me and said I could die during surgery. Dr. McConnell did not try to scare me. He is a wonderful person and also a highly expert surgeon. Thanks to his expert skill I am walking again and have a new life. Also, Lehigh Valley Hospital gave me excellent care during my stay there.

In November of 2012, I had a micro discectomy at L4 with Dr. McConnell after suffering from acute sciatic pain for 9 weeks. I tried many different modalities in that time with no relief. As of now, April, 2013 I am presently almost back to my normal busy schedule - doing gardening, teaching Yoga, sewing, etc. At 68 years old I am very happy not to suffer the chronic pain I had for many years. Dr. McConnell was very kind, and patient with explanations of what was happening in my body. I cannot thank him enough for a successful surgery.

At 30 years of age in 2007, I surely didn't want surgery. But at least I had a great surgeon. I need to thank you Dr. McConnell for giving me a better life. I was worried about little things back then like carrying our newborn child around. Now, he's six and we have an 11 month old. I am coaching football and baseball for our six year old and running around the fields like I never had back problems to begin with. Thank you again!

Today is 2 weeks since I've had my spine fused and a cyst removed. I want to thank OAA and Dr. McConnell for everything you have done for me! I am getting my life back one day at a time! Two weeks ago I couldn't sleep and had pain constantly. Today, I am like a new woman. I no longer have leg pain and am progressing from my surgery rapidly.
